No parent looks at their children and thinks… “My dream is for you to be mediocre.” It doesn’t matter who they are or where they come from, every parent wants their kids to:
- Be great.
- Dream big… and realize their dreams.
- Make the world a better place.
- Be strong and be able to handle all that the world will throw at them.

Parents want their children to stand up and forge their own path through life… wherever it takes them.
And in the past parents weren’t alone on this journey. Teachers… coaches… and even close neighbors supported them in their hopes and dreams for their children. They too, helped to raise these kids teaching them life lessons and holding them accountable for their actions.
In today's world society has shifted to the point where parents are an island unto themselves. They are all alone in raising their kids to grow up right. One voice getting lost amongst the agendas, social media and YouTube videos. Never has it been more true that…

Makoto was founded by Sensei Ben La France to be a part of that village. A partner for parents -- and another voice in a village -- to help guide kids on the path to not only realizing their dreams, but becoming better people.
